Filipe Carreira da Silva

Introducing

A sociologist by training, his main areas of interest are social and political theory, citizenship studies and intellectual history. In this website you will find information on his books and articles, collaborative research projects, teaching and much more. Filipe Carreira da Silva, Research Professor of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, has a joint appointment with Selwyn College, Cambridge. In 2017, and again in 2023, he was awarded the Prémio Científico Universidade de Lisboa/CGD for his scientific research activity. He edits the book series "Theory Workshop: New Frontiers in Social and Political Theory" since 2018. He is Associate Editor for sociology in the journal Análise Social (2021-).
